All are welcome to our service of Scripture, sermon, prayers, and song.
This Sunday’s service is being coordinated by the Sabbatical Committee and will take the form of intergenerational worship and creative play known as Playology. It will be led by facilitators from re:create and will include imaginative worship, art, and activities intended to help our community members get to know one another - intentionally inclusive of all abilities and ages.
Re:create leads the annual ARW (arts, recreation, worship) conference in Montreat. They are well known around the Southeast for their expertise and ability.
All are invited to lunch in the Great Hall after worship. This will be a fun time and a great way to start our program year. Worship and lunch are made possible by a Lilly grant that was awarded to Pastor Michelle.
Our service also includes a special time for the children. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary and leave with teachers during the sermon time for Sunday school. They are also welcome to worship with their families in the pews. Sound is also turned on in our Gathering Space just outside the big glass doors to the sanctuary in case your child needs a little more space to move around during the service. A nursery is available for younger children if your family prefers that option.
Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.
