Playology worship service

All are welcome to our service of Scripture, sermon, prayers, and song.

This fall, worship at Fox Valley is getting a little more creative, a little more playful—and a whole lot more hands-on.

We’re thrilled to welcome Darci McKinnon and Lisa Diedrick, leaders of Playology, for a unique and joy-filled Sunday morning today. Rooted in the belief that God meets us in play, creativity, and connection, Playology offers a fresh take on worship for all ages.

We’ll begin the morning with a brief call to worship in the Sanctuary, setting the tone for the experience ahead. From there, the building will become our canvas for interactive, creative stations designed to help us explore faith through art, storytelling, imagination, and movement. These experiences will take place in both the Sanctuary and spaces throughout the church building, allowing everyone to engage at their own pace.

Afterward, we’ll gather in the Great Hall for a shared lunch—because no good church gathering is complete without food! Darci and Lisa will guide us through a series of playful table games and community-building activities, bringing the morning to a joyful close.

Playology is designed for all ages—children, teens, adults, families, and individuals alike. You don’t need to be “artsy” or “churchy”—just bring your whole self and a willingness to try something new.

Mark your calendars and join us for a different kind of Sunday. Come ready to play, create, connect, and worship in a whole new way.

Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.
