Sunday worship in the Sanctuary

All are welcome to our service of Scripture, sermon, prayers, and song. This morning’s worship will be a lessons and hymns service.

Our service also includes a special time for the children. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary and leave with teachers during the sermon time for Sunday school. They are also welcome to worship with their families in the pews. Sound is also turned on in our Gathering Space just outside the big glass doors to the Sanctuary in case your child needs a little more space to move around during the service. A nursery is available for younger children if your family prefers that option.

Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.

Children remain with their families for the beginning of our 10:15 am worship service, then leave for Sunday School classes after the Time with Children during worship. After worship has ended, parents and guardians pick up their children in the classrooms.

Children who are kindergarten and younger meet in the Children’s Room (near the Sanctuary) for story time and engaging play stations. First through fifth graders gather in Rooms 2 and 3 for music, prayers, Bible stories, and fun hands-on activities.

Sunday School - Children's Room, Rooms 1 & 2

Our Sunday School curriculum is based on practices Jesus did and taught us to do as faithful followers. This curriculum examines where those practices are found in the Bible and how they are used in Christian faith.

Sunday worship in the Sanctuary

All are welcome to our service of Scripture, sermon, prayers, and song. This Sunday, we will recognize our graduating high school seniors during our worship service.

Our Children’s Room is available if your family prefers that option.

Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.

Outdoor Sunday worship - Johnson Mound Forest Preserve

All are welcome to our service of Scripture, sermon, prayers, and song. We will worship outdoors this Sunday at Johnson Mound Forest Preserve (41W600 Hughes Road in Elburn). Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy during our fellowship time after the service.

Note that Bunker Road at Keslinger Road is closed for construction. Folks from the Tri-Cities area are advised to take Fabyan Parkway to Hughes Road. From the west, take Route 47 to Hughes Road. The preserve is at 41W600 Hughes Road. The entrance is on the north side of Hughes Road, and the shelter is to the right almost immediately upon entering the preserve.

The church building will not be open today unless the weather is threatening. Thunder and lightning at the time you are leaving for worship? Then come to the church building, as we will be worshipping there.

We will be welcoming South Shore Drill Team alum Stella Natufe and her daughter Charity Smith to our worship service, to share their experiences about the Team. Read more about the SSDT.

Questions? Email Jeff Mengler.
