Children's Room - Chapel Room

Loving care is provided in the Chapel Room for all children through grade 5 during the 9:00 am education hour, and for our littlest ones during worship. Children of all ages are always welcome at our worship services, and parents are welcome to check in/check out of the Children’s Room, or stay with their children as needed.

The Children’s Room is overseen by paid staff and church volunteers who have been reviewed and instructed on best practices for interacting with young children.

Sunday worship in the Sanctuary

All are welcome to our service of Scripture, sermon, prayers, and song.

Our service also includes a special time for the children. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary and leave with teachers during the sermon time for Sunday school. They are also welcome to worship with their families in the pews. Sound is also turned on in our Gathering Space just outside the big glass doors to the Sanctuary in case your child needs a little more space to move around during the service. A nursery is available for younger children if your family prefers that option.

Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.

Sunday School for first through fifth graders - Room 2

Sunday School for our first through fifth graders meets in Room 2, following the Children’s Time in our worship service. The Sunday School curriculum for our first through fifth grade students is based on practices Jesus did and taught us to do as faithful followers. This curriculum examines where those practices are found in the Bible and how they are used in Christian faith. During this time, children will engage in music, Bible stories, prayer, and hands-on activities while growing in faith and building relationships.

Assembling our Nativity scene - Gathering Space

Assembling our Nativity scene - Gathering Space

All are invited to take part as we assemble our nativity scene today, the first Sunday of Advent. All of our nativity figures are made of resin and will not break if young children want to participate. Stop by the display table as you enter or leave the Sanctuary and add the figure you selected to our Nativity scene.

The Nativity scene is a memorial for Sue Mills, the wife of a former pastor. She came from a Moravian background and always felt we needed a nativity scene. As you place your piece, look at the bottom and you will see the name of the donor. It is a slice of our church’s history.
