Middle school and high school youth gather for breakfast and fellowship on the first Sunday of the month in the Youth Lounge, 9:00-10:00 am. Our class time usually centers on a discussion of the Scripture verses for worship. Occasionally, we will use this time to help prepare for church-wide activities such as the Souper Bowl of Caring. The atmosphere is always relaxed and youth are welcome to join in discussions as much or as little as they are comfortable with! No advance preparation is ever needed and newcomers are always welcome.

Our service also includes a special time for the children. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary and leave with teachers during the sermon time for Sunday school. They are also welcome to worship with their families in the pews. Sound is also turned on in our Gathering Space just outside the big glass doors to the Sanctuary in case your child needs a little more space to move around during the service. A nursery is available for younger children if your family prefers that option.
Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.
Our Sunday School curriculum is based on practices Jesus did and taught us to do as faithful followers. This curriculum examines where those practices are found in the Bible and how they are used in Christian faith.
Children remain with their families for the beginning of our 10:15 am worship service, then leave for Sunday School classes after the Time with Children during worship. After worship has ended, parents and guardians pick up their children in the classrooms.
Children who are kindergarten and younger meet in the Children’s Room (near the Sanctuary) for story time and engaging play stations. First through fifth graders gather in Rooms 2 and 3 for music, prayers, Bible stories, and fun hands-on activities.

Children remain with their families for the beginning of our 10:15 am worship service, then leave for Sunday School classes after the Time with Children during worship. After worship has ended, parents and guardians pick up their children in the classrooms.
Children who are kindergarten and younger meet in the Children’s Room (near the Sanctuary) for story time and engaging play stations. First through fifth graders gather in Rooms 2 and 3 for music, prayers, Bible stories, and fun hands-on activities.

Our service also includes a special time for the children. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary and leave with teachers during the sermon time for Sunday school. They are also welcome to worship with their families in the pews. Sound is also turned on in our Gathering Space just outside the big glass doors to the Sanctuary in case your child needs a little more space to move around during the service. A nursery is available for younger children if your family prefers that option.
Masks and socially distanced seating are optional.
Our Sunday School curriculum is based on practices Jesus did and taught us to do as faithful followers. This curriculum examines where those practices are found in the Bible and how they are used in Christian faith.
Children remain with their families for the beginning of our 10:15 am worship service, then leave for Sunday School classes after the Time with Children during worship. After worship has ended, parents and guardians pick up their children in the classrooms.
Children who are kindergarten and younger meet in the Children’s Room (near the Sanctuary) for story time and engaging play stations. First through fifth graders gather in Rooms 2 and 3 for music, prayers, Bible stories, and fun hands-on activities.

Come and be a part of Thursday Women’s Fellowship!
Any and all women are welcome to drop in at church on the first and third Thursday of every month from 5:30– 7:00 pm. Bring a sack supper (your own food from home or purchased on the way) and enjoy eating and spending time together in the Cafe.
After dinner, we will join in discussion or an activity. The evening’s host will provide the discussion topic or activity. Feel free to bring along your own craft, suggest activities for the group, or break away to attend a meeting when needed.
There is no preparation or cost; just come and enjoy some fellowship. If you need a ride or have questions, email Angie Bateman or Deb Mengler.
All are invited to gather in the Great Hall after worship to enjoy another lunch catered by La Huerta Grill & Market. The ICE presence in the Fox Valley has hurt La Huerta’s business and by coming and sharing lunch, we can support them during this difficult business time.
Today’s menu will be similar to our last lunch, but not the same. We will still have the area’s best guacamole and chips to start off the meal - along with rice, beans, and all the trimmings to enhance your taco. We have changed the tacos to ground beef.
The Fellowship Committee hopes that you will join us for this excellent meal and a time for fellowship. There will be a free will offering, with a suggested donation of $15.00 per adult.

Our adult education class takes place in the Conference Room, 9;00-10:00 am. Rev. Stacy Walker, the lead organizer of DuPage United (DU), a sister affiliate of the Fox River Valley Initiative (FVRI), will be teaching an introduction to the work of organizing. Rev. Stacy is an Episcopal priest, ordained in 2006, and has worked in parish ministry in urban, suburban, and small town congregations in Michigan and Illinois for over 16 years. In 2022 she joined the staff of Illinois Metro Industrial Areas Foundation, of which DU and FRVI are affiliates. The consistent, persistent message of the Kingdom of God given to us by Jesus through his teaching, healing, and resurrection is Rev. Stacy’s inspiration for preaching and organizing.
Rev. Stacy will be joined by Adeena Ahmed, a DU intern organizer. Adeena, a recent graduate of Benedictine University in Lisle, recently organized her first action with resident leaders of Villagebrook and Autumn Ridge apartments (Full Circle Communities, member of DU and FRVI) in Carol Stream for pedestrian safety along St. Charles Road.
