Our adult education class takes place in the Conference Room, 9;00-10:00 am.
Today, we begin a deeper look at our core values, which are “Dynamic Faith, Caring Community, and Compassionate Service.”
We’ll start with Compassionate Service. Our value statement reads:
We believe Jesus Christ calls us to compassionate service, which involves treating all with love, empathy and kindness. It goes beyond mere acts of charity and engages the heart, mind, and spirit in making a positive impact on the lives of others.
We live into this value in a number of ways. Our Mission Committee not only provides financial support to organizations in our community serving our neighbors in various ways, but also provides hands-on opportunities to serve others, such as organizing and conducting a monthly Inclusive Game night, a monthly free Community Dinner, a monthly dinner for the residents of the Lazarus House transitional shelter in St. Charles, and much more.
Join us for this class to learn more about how we live into this value and to see how you might help.
