The hit Broadway musical Les Miserables is one of the longest running musicals in the world. Based on the epic novel by Victor Hugo, it tells the story of Jean Valjean’s quest for redemption and has inspired audiences to ponder themes of justice, poverty, freedom, love, and God’s mercy. Our Lenten series examines six of these themes, connecting them to our faith through the lives of one of the characters in the story.
Each session in our series, co-led by Angie Bateman and Brent and Cynthia Eichelberger, will include an opening DVD segment and discussion based on the book The Grace of Les Miserables by Matt Rawle. We will meet in the Conference Room at 9:00 am. Participants are asked to obtain their own copy of the book (available from Thrift Books or Amazon).
