Clinton G. Roberts
Clint grew up in a pastor's home in Pennsylvania and New York before graduating from Chapel Hill, North Carolina with a degree in English. After pursuing doctoral studies in History at Tulane University, Clint earned his Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago in 1985, where he met and married his wife the Rev. Deb Chandler Roberts. Since then, the couple have served congregations both together and separately in Michigan, Kansas, Indiana, and Illinois, including Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville, where they served as co-pastors from 1999 to 2019. Clint retired as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, Illinois in 2023.
Clint and Deb have two children and two grandchildren. Clint enjoys cycling the Fox River Trail, sailing on Lake Michigan and long walks with his Goldendoodle Remy. He is currently serving as FVPC’s Bridge Pastor during Pastor Michelle’s sabbatical.
