As caretakers of God’s creation, creating less waste should be a priority and reducing packaging is an effective means to do that. The abundance of plastic waste in the environment has been in the news a lot lately.
Here are sources for laundry detergent sheets, which Laura Lamplough mentioned in her June Green Tip of the Month. Thanks, Laura! Local stores are carrying laundry sheets and dishwasher pods, too, but try to eliminate plastic packaging if you can.

On another note, trees are the lungs of our planet Earth and more trees that give off more oxygen combat climate change. In our everyday lives, our habits promote the harvesting of trees, not a good thing! Increasing incidents of wildfires worldwide raise this concern even more. So, consider the alternative to toilet tissue which is made from paper. Did you know there is such a thing as bamboo toilet paper? Bamboo is a readily renewable and sustainable resource. And here is a source for such a product that is shipped without plastic. Love the name! Give it a try!
